Protesting the razing of koala habitat for a new coal mine south of Narrabri (NSW) these prayer flags re-deployed images of the backs of stuffed-toy koalas sampled from eBay. Turning one’s back is a form of non-violent direction action. Despite sustained community protest, Whitehaven Coal proceeded to bulldoze precious habitat in the Leard State Forest.
